In 1989 a torquey 4.5L V8 replaced the earlier engine. The chiseled Italian body, sumptuous hand stitchedleather interior, advanced automotive refinements, and classic top-down roadster platform makethis particular Allante an excellent choice for an investment grade, rare collectable. The original pearl white is a great choice, looking very high-tech, elegant, and a perfect matchfor the Allante’s beautiful body lines. Cadillac would ship the chassis to Italy tohave the entire Body and Interior Hand Fitted by Pininfarina. Then, Pininfarina would ship thecompleted bodies, interiors, and chassis back to America on a specially-configured Boeing 747. Fortunately, this Allante has aged quite well because of limited ownership and excellent care.Fit and finish are very good, with just 63,312 original miles. It is obviously been a favoritevehicle of mine. The paint is completely original, with perfect black/charcoal leather interior that is very inviting, with deep bucket seats as comfortable as they look. Along with the beautiful interior leather, the very high tech fully functional gauges will bring asmile every time it starts-up. The original manual operated soft top is very quick and easy to putup and down. The engine bay is clean and is all stock of course. Thanks to attentive regular GMservice, the A/C system will freeze you out, and she runs and drives as if just drivenoff the showroom floor. The 4-speed automatic transmission, with lock-out overdrive, is quick to grab a lower gear when required. The suspension is supple without being luxury car clumsy. The 4-wheel discs with ABS are standard, and live behind factory alloy wheels which wear 225/55/16 radials. These pictures have my 1993 Allante’ wheelsout for a little exercise. The original 1989 ALLANTE wheels and Michelin tires are included in this offering. This Allante is an excellent automobile with a niche in luxury, touring class roadster history. The enthusiast who own the Allante are very passionate about them.
