(The revival opened September 4th, 1943 and closed October 9th, 1943 after only 47 performances.) ..... Using the melodies of FRANZ SCHUBERT, the musical starred ALEXANDER GRAY as "Franz Schubert", BARBARA SCULLY as "Mitzi Kranz", DOUG LEAVITT as "Christian Kranz", ROBERT CHISHOLM as "Count Sharntoff", ROY CROPPER as "Baron Schober" and MONNA MONTES as the "Prima Ballerina". The cast also included JACQUELINE SUSANN (author of "The Valley of the Dolls"), HARRY K. MORTON, ZELLA RUSSELL, ADELAIDE BISHOP, LORAINE MANNERS, HELENE ARTHUR, HELEN THOMPSON, HELENA LeBERTHON, PAMELA DOW, ROY BARNES, GEORGE MITCHELL, NORD CORNELL, WALTER JOHNSON, GEORGE BEACH, JOHN O'NEILL and ALICE DRAKE .....
