Hand crafted from one inch kiln dried fresh cut solid Oak from Michigan timberlands and is high grade material sanded smooth on both sides The weight of the board is approximately 7 pounds!! The board itself is 23-inch diagonal (18 inches tall by 18 inches wide) with rounded corners for safety. Felt pads have been added to the back to prevent movement and scratching of tables while playing. The playing surface is protected with three coats of polyurethane sealer. The playing surface of the board is easily maintained with simple furniture wax, such as Behold or Pride. The back of the board has been sealed to expose the true exterior.
