Description: The auction is for this flyer advertising 'Winter Dance Party at The Surf Ballroom, Clear Lake, Iowa' held on Monday 2nd February 1959. The event starred, Big Bopper (Chantilly Lace); Buddy Holly and the Crickets (Peggy Sue); Ritchie Valens (Donna) and Dion and The Belmonts (I Wonder Why) with the extra attraction of Frankie Sardo and advertising Lee Cooper Jeans on the reverse. This is the last show that Buddy Holly performed before his death on the 3rd February 1959. This may well be a reproduction of the original. The flyer/poster is in good condition and measures approx. 32 cm x 24 cm (12.5" x 9.25") opened out. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
