Description: This is NOVAK/ADJUSTABLE red dot mount. It is NOT colt 1911 mount. Check what rear sight you have on your 1911 before purchasing. Designed to "REPLACE the rear sight" of NOVAK/ADJUSTABLE 1911 pistol. It does NOT work with other rear sight such as Colt and Kimber. One of the advantage of this ADE plate over others is this optic plate has a CURVED/CONCAVED design that will sit flush(wrap the top curved pistol slide) on the top of the pistol. Many other plates are Flat design. Minor modification to the sight base may be necessary for some 1911s including Rock Islands, Citadels, and GSG 1911 .22s. While it is possible to install this mount without the use of a gunsmith, we recommend hiring a qualified gunsmith. Please note.
