In my example I purposely used thick grainy pine wood to showcase a worst case scenario that would be difficult to pull off perfectly with saws and sanding alone. In my example I used a router table but it can be done just as easily in reverse using a handheld or finish router! *NOTE* the 4 screw holes are under sized so you can use them as pilot holes the first time and use any diameter drill/screws you like for mounting your fans.
