This cartridge has been upgraded by my Japanese friend, he is a retired Koetzu engineer with FG-S Line Contact Stylus on Diamond Cantilever and Suspension Tune Up, just did an audition and the sound is great, better than its original so much, and has only been audition for less then 3 hours. This Accuphase AC-2 Low output moving coil cartridge retipped with upgrade square shank, low mass, high polish, grain oriented, gem grade, 4/75µm FG-S line contact diamond, set onto solid 0.28 mm diameter cylindrical polished diamond rod cantilever. Cosmetically, this cartridge is 100% like new and better because of the massive upgrade cantilever and diamond.Various design elements come together to make a cartridge sound clean, agile, fast, airy and so on and the AC-2 is imbued with these desirable sonic attributes.
