One of these components is the Drain Loop Assembly, which allows for the automatic gravity drainage of the panels & piping when the pump shuts off. This functionality is critical for keeping systems protected from freeze damage when temperatures drop below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. This kit is also used for assisting in alternative installation methods. Kit includes enough strapping for up to (6) solar collectors. If more strap is needed, additional may be purchased by searching for PN: 16007 (available in multiple lengths, or 100 ft. bulk roll). *When solar panels are installed horizontally OR on a ground mounted surface near pool level, panels will either need to be connected to an automation system with freeze protection enabled or manually drained of all water whenever temperatures are expected to drop below 40 degrees Fahrenheit (temperature at which freeze damage can begin to occur).
