Description: A Shelley "Cottage 1" 11604 Queen Anne shape tea cup & saucer. C.1928. Pattern No 11604 Cottage 1 - Black print. Yellow solid ground on saucer with white centre. Cottage with chimneys. Grey trees partly enamelled in black. Green fields. Yellow road. Fence and gate across road. White ground to cup. Black edges. Entered in pattern book during or after 1928. The shape of this tea cup and saucer is the Queen Anne shape which was produced between 1926 & 1960. Dimensions: cup base 35mm (1.7 inches) / distance across top of cup 75mm (3 inches) / height of cup 56mm (2.25 inches) / saucer 128mm (5 inches). Condition: Both pieces are in very good clean condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or scratching. An odd white mark to the yellow ground on the saucer otherwise all paintwork / enamelling is in very good order with no fading to the pattern. Both pieces have a very good "ping" to them when lightly tapped.
