Description: A Shelley "Blue Iris" 11561 Queen Anne shape side plate & saucer (from a tea set). C.1927. Pattern No 11561 Blue Iris - Irises with green leaves on small panels. Yellow and red stylised fruit and grey leaves on large panels. Dots and circles on panel joins. White ground. Dark blue edges. Entered in pattern book during or after 1927. The shape of this side plate and saucer is the Queen Anne shape which was produced between 1926 & 1960. Dimensions: side plate 160mm (6.25 inches) / saucer 122mm (5 inches). Condition: Both pieces are in very good clean condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or rubbing. Paintwork / enamelling is in very good order with no fading to the pattern. Both pieces have a very good "ping" to them when lightly tapped.
