Our GRADING for bigbillkorst2 (Discogs) is E+ (or NM), E, E-, V+, V, V- and Poor. strict grading 78RPM 12" homemade recording disc V to V+. This 78 - I believe is a c1947 air-check (according to Microsoft AI), I could not find Gene Ammons at the Apollo Theatre Theater doing the song Bopology; no versions I see. This may be a one-of-a-kind recording --the AI mentioned big names that could be in the band. This I listened to parts, at the start an announcer from Apollo is interviewing a Gene (I am guessing Ammons) who played with Billy Eckstein for 3-years before this recording (interview) (that is Ammons). It sounds overall VG with areas of static and crackles, some areas better than other spots--did not listen to the whole thing. The 2nd (b) side is medium marked never recorded on BLANK. This 12" vinylic (may even some sort of acetate in it--feels weird) record is clean, not much else, see photos above. Graded visually. The music label has handwriting and a stamp on the Audiodisc label. Will be in the heavy sleeve it has been stored in for decades. This comes from the bigbillkorst2 jazz collection.
