This is the case with all the rotary stones. Like a file you do NOT push - you use a gentle motion back and forth typically at 30 degrees to the bar and let the stone do the work. You are rotary filing -NOT GRINDING Pushing will cause the stones to ware out pre maturely and may cause overheating of the cutters. We also have a lubricant that improves the performance by reducing how fast the stone cuts.
