Description: 6 (six) eggs from our Project pens of Blue Laced Red/Gold English Orpingtons. No Extras. These eggs will ship from Upstate New York, so please check the weather for your delivery route.***COLD weather is here, so PLEASE check your weather before ordering.*** Hatch rate is not guaranteed or implied. You might have a ZERO hatch due to shipping bounce and vibration during USPS shipping. The shipping can literally kill a blastoderm in a fertile egg, resulting inno development at all. When you buy shipped eggs you are accepting the risk, and you know that there could be no development or growth. An eggy gamble... We have been working with this colour for 5 years, that someone else had developed to F6.We did not create this colour; we purchased chicks 6 years ago from an original breeder and just kept going. Please know that these chicks can (still) hatch out any and every colour. The birds you hatch from our eggs might not match any of the photos in this listing. We hatch many Splash Laced Gold, as well as Blue partially-Laced Gold. Sometimes we get blue with no lacing, or red with blue spangling...it really is an "anything goes" set of colour genes. We are casually and clumsily working toward pigeon-blue lacing on a mahogany red base, but have a long way to go.We started with F6 birds from a professional breeder in California, added some high quality red orps from South Carolina, and have been having fun with our goals for the past 5 years. These chicks will be unpredictably coloured, and change as they grow to maturity. This project is the most fun hatch we have, and my kids love to try to predict the chick colours. This auction is for 6 eggs from our Project pens of Blue Laced Red/Gold English Orpingtons, with no extras. We have 2 Roosters to every 10 hens. The pictures in this listing are of our parent birds and 2023 chicks.I do not guarantee the colour of the chicks that will hatch from these eggs.I also do not guarantee lacing quality. It might be full or partial or spangled or absent.Chicken genetics is very complicated and always throwing curve balls.Your hatch results of the eggs you receive from me might not match these listing photos at all. Please be ready for an unexpected result.I am trying to be thorough and fully transparent, and letting you know that you might hatch any colour. I am not a professional chicken breeder, and I am not a pro ebay seller.I am just a single parent of 5 trying to raise nice kids and make ends meet in a fun and meaningful way. Please also know that I can not respond to messages everyday. Sometimes life gets hectic and it takes 3 or 4 days for me to get a chance to get to wifi and check my ebay. I do the best I can. Here is my Full-Disclosure "Transparent" warnings:* I have severely negative feedback from a very unhappy Orpington breeder/ ebay egg-seller who did not likeher chick colour ratios from a different colour flock that I sell here. Please be aware that this breeder/ebay egg-seller strongly advises buyers not to buy anything from me.Some of her negative feedback was removed by ebay for policy violations, but some of it is still there. Please read all of the negative feedbacks before you buy anything from me, so you can decide if you feel comfortable taking the risk, or if you might be better off purchasing from a different egg seller. There are so many egg sellers, and so many wonderful breeds and colours to choose from, that no oneshould have to purchase from anyone they are not comfortable with.* I am "advertising" that these eggs might not hatch chicks the colours you see in my pictures.* If you want perfectly coloured and Laced English Orpington stock that breeds true, please do not buy from me,because my flocks sometimes throw random colours.I highly recommend Oceanside Orpingtons, Papa's Poultry, and Carolina Rare Chicks...they are professional, breed to the SOP, and ship eggs and chicks. So, consider if you are comfortable with all of my disclosures, info, disclaimers, and negative feedback before youbid or buy. I have tried to add everything to this listing that I may have missed in my previous listings, and I have repeated some things 2 or 3 times, to be sure my listing description is thoroughly and completely accurate. Please please please ask all the questions you can think of before you buy anything from me, so that you completely understand what you may or may not be getting. Important info that you can research on the internet: If a shipped egg does not develop, it does not mean the egg is not fertile. What it actually means is that the fertile egg that was packed up and shipped out to you, sustained too much internal damage to be able to develop; the blastoderm was damaged during the USPStravel, and was rendered nonviable. Our eggs are 100% fertile here at the homestead; our eggs have a home development rate of 100%,and a hatch rate of 97%. Our eggs are fertile, so if your shipped eggs from us do not develop, it is due to shipping damage. By bidding or buying from me, you are acknowledging that you read my listing in full, and understand everything herein. Before you bid or buy from me please message me with all the questions you have, and know that I will respond as soon as I can. If you bid or buy from me, I will message you to request your confirmation that you have read my entire listing, and agree to all of my terms and policies. You will be able to cancel your order before I ship the eggs, if you change your mind, or decide you should buyeggs elsewhere. No harm, no foul fowl. I know that you know this part, but I have to include it to be thorough:Shipping wreaks havoc on egg viability and hatchability; even fertile eggs may be too internally damaged to develop. If you buy hatching eggs, you might have a ZERO percent hatch. If you buy my eggs, you acknowledge that fact, and understand the risk, and you accept that possibility that they may amount to nothing. Some redundancy:Please know that development and hatch rates can never be guaranteed with shipped eggs. The trip from the post office to you is rough for eggs in many ways that can change from each shipment, and you can get anywhere from zero to 50% hatch. The internet says the average hatch for shipped non-bantam eggs is about 30%... That means 3 chicks out of 10 shipped eggs is a GOOD result. But ZERO is still normal, and if you bid or buy it means you accept that fact and risk. I hatched shipped eggs for 5 years while building my breeding stock. Ironic little-known fact: I am rubbish at hatching shipped eggs. I typically get between ZERO and 3 chicks per dozen shipped eggs. (mostly zero.) If you are new to hatching shipped eggs, please google or you-tube it. It is more involved than hatching your own freshly laid eggs that have not been tossed around the mail room, and jostled in a truck for hundreds of miles, and left overnight with no heating or cooling for several days, and possibly x-rayed. I highly recommend the article by a member of the Alabama Poultry Association, on hatching shipped eggs; it is available on the internet and social media. If you need your eggs held at your post office for you to pick up, please include that in the message when you pay. We only ship to the lower 48 U.S. States only; no Hawaii, no Alaska. We will always pack your eggs very carefully. Eggs are shipped via insured Priority Mail. If your package arrives damaged, you can easily file a claim yourselfwith your local USPS or on the official USPS government website, and they will reimburse you directly. There are no returns or refunds or replacements on eggs. Your eggs are INSURED by USPS not to arrive damaged. If your eggs arrive cracked or broken, all you need to do is file a claim directly with USPS, and they will issue you a refund. Please do not purchase my eggs unless you understand the egg shipping risks, the USPS claims option, and the fact that we do not replace or refund. And, eggs are not ever guaranteed to hatch. They experience internal unseen damage just from riding in thedelivery truck. Egg sellers are not responsible for Buyers' hatch rates. Please read this listing all the way to the bottom BEFORE bidding on or buying my eggs. ***Just a Heads Up... Check the weather for your shipping route. These ship from Upstate NY. The weather can be an added risk, and as you know there are no guarantees on eggs, and of course there are no returns.*** Interesting Fact: Some people may not know that the fertility of shipped eggs cannot be determined by an egg that does not develop.A "dud" does not mean that it was not fertile. It means that the trip the egg endured to get to you killed the blastoderm, making it unable to develop.
