Description: A Lovely Set of 6 Antique Royal Doulton Made in England Spaulding & co Chicago Paris Hand Painted Cabbage Roses Gold Encrusted Rims. The plates are about 9" diameter. The plates are signed E. W. for E.W. Percy, which was Doultons Premier decorator. He was probably Doulton's longest serving artist, entering the factory in 1885 and only retiring in 1954. He specialized in floral painting (especially roses), and landscapes.The plates are exquisitely painted plate with vibrant colors.There is some normal minor gold loss as shown in pics. When tilting the plates there are some light storage scratches as I tried to show. Or else the plates are in good condition.
