They are fast growing, long lived, & can reach heights of 160 feet! They are insect & disease free. they also make a wonderful shade tree. Tulip Poplars are very ornamental. In spring, they bloom into large showy 1 1/2" cup shaped flowers that are yellow & orange. The flowers turn in to attractive seed pods in the fall. The leaves of the Tulip Poplar are uniquely shaped. They turn golden yellow in fall. Their flowers produce large quantities of nectar for bees & butterflies. It is a major honey plant for honey bees. The large nectar-filled blooms also attract HUMMINGBIRDS!
