Description: These (5) tiny flint arrowhead points are Native American Indian. They range from .25" to .38". I purchased these in a collection. The paperwork with the collection states: "These points were found at Moccasin Bend in the Tennessee River many years ago. Mention of similar points is made on p. 147 and some are pictured on p. 171 of The Prehistoric Men of Kentucky by Young. Formerly in famous collection of Reeder of Hancock, Mich. These points are too small for any practical use and were probably made for ceremonial purposes or to exhibit the skill of the artisan who made them. The story is told that Warren Moorehead (archaeologist 1866-1939) doubted the authenticity of similar points, but upon investigation sifted several similar ones from the sands of the Tennessee River." The points are finely knapped and are an utterly astounding and awesome example of early knapping.
