Description: (4) VINTAGE HAND CARVED PAINTED FOLK ART SHEEP~LAMBS~GUATEMALAThese pieces are from my personal collection. I purchased it in Guatemala either in the late 1980's or early 1990's. The carving on this set of four is beautifully done with nice proportions. These pieces were probably intended to be used in a creche at Christmas or put out at Easter time. Signs of aging on means possible discoloration or a paint flake. See the pictures. These are incredibly well-made carvings. Standing with head down 4 3/8" high x 2 1/8" x 6 1/4", right front leg has been cracked and other signs of aging.Standing with head down 4 1/4" x 2 1/8" x 6 1/4", good condition with signs of aging.Standing with head up, 5.25" x 2 1/8" x 5 3/4", back right leg has been cracked, right ear damaged. Other signs of aging. Lying sheep, 4" x 2 1/2" x 5 3/4" , great condition.
