I had previously used the BetterVue screen that worked fine but didn't block the sun and here in SC that is important. So I decided to try this screen since its 90% UV blocking. It was only slightly harder to spline because the Super Solar is thicker. I reused the spline I used with the screen tight panels ond it worked fine. You can see through the Super Solar, to me the view is like putting on dark sunglasses, everything is slightly darker but still clear. What a difference for heat reduction. It also reduces wind. I am so glad I invested in this Super Solar screen, well worth it.Excellent product9 Jun 15This screen is perfect for our needs. We are actually using it for our patio to keep out small insects and some sunlight while resisting damage from our pets. It's quite durable. I'm hoping it cuts down on some pollen in the spring and fall, but it's not designed for that and the jury is still out.Excellent heat reducer27 May 14We bought a new house a couple of months ago and I've been looking for a way to reduce the heat gain in the master bedroom (faces southwest/west) in the high desert. I looked at every option available, and I mean every option. These screens reduce heat tremendously, are easy to work with and unlike tint you can take them down (depending on how install them) in the winter when you want the extra sun. When windows are viewed from the outside the screen blocks light so the window is not visible providing privacy. With the left over piece I made an inside window cover for my kitchen window, which gets intense sunlight every morning.
