All have the same tooled design on their back cover and gilt lettering as well, except Lamb, which has the same design as the front, but no gilt lettering on the back. All of the covers are slightly different except Moore & Rogers are the same, and Hood, Burns, and Byron are the same.Size: apx. 9" by 7" / this 10 volume set weighs 37.10 pounds !! 8 are illustrated with a few pictures, Hood has frontis only, Lamb isn't illustratedScott has a few pictures of music too! please note - due to the price you will have to sign for these Contents - poetical works! Shakespeare has all the top favorites plus life of Shakespeare ......... Milton has Paradise lost & regained, Samson Agonistes, Comus, Arcades, a few others, plus life of Milton. ******** if you need more pictures just send me a note - it was impossible to show everything in 12 pictures! ******** Condition: Please zoom in on photos carefully as they are part of the description. I am human and sometimes miss a thing or 2, but I try to mention the book's main faults. all of my books are VERY OLD and have 100+ years of wear to varying degrees good to very good plus condition.... for their very old age:boards - most of the book covers are very secure, 5 of the 20 covers have been professionally re-attached which were to- Hood, Lamb, and Rogers; there is nothing worse than buying an old book and having the cover fall off 2 weeks later! All Leather covers are tooled and beautiful - small spot to the rear of Hood [shown]-textblock- pages very secure / Burns has 2 proud signatures [ sections] outer joints- most good to very good / the pictures showing the joint [cover] repairs which go all the way down, I just wanted to give you close up picturesspine ends- very good except Rogers/Campbell has a small chip bottom of spine tips- apx. half of them are worn through & touched up to match their binding / a few are well worn - shown in picturesinner hinges- very good to good / 5 of the 20 inner hinges have newer brown ribbon & 1 with brown tape / clearish tape between the 2 ffep of lamb [showing the dye to the leather repair behind it -see 2nd to last picture]-pages- generally very clean except in Moore the pages are toned, a few spots in Burns, and Rogers/ Campbell has light spotting throughout / a few frontis and pictures are foxed. Byron has a new front endpaper [so the verso is white -shown]-writing- name on ffep of a few-rips /folds- very few of each in all the volumes combined except.... Shakespeare has apx 20 top tips bumped & 14 pages with a very, very small rip/fold. Lamb has apx 20 very small rips and apx 20 very small folds / Hemans -almost all the pages are lightly bumped other: - Some wear to the front marble papers in Burns / Moore has a slight smell [there's hope - read about smells below] / Rogers, Cambell's rear end paper has a bit of edge wear / the rear paste down in Lamb has what looks like something that someone tried to rip out and most still remains [see last picture] /I probably missed a few small things, but this is a good solid set with bright gilt page edges!
