Description: Three Edison Diamond Discs with a WW1 theme. The Submarine AttackK-K-K Katy By Billy Murray The Colored RecruitsThe Whistling Coon Army Bugle Calls side one & two, paper label. The Submarine Attack record starts with Marray and co singing, then goes into sound effects of a destoyer hunting down and sinking a German U boat. Reminiscent of radio plays. The flip side is an excellent rendition by Murray singing K-K-K Katy. The second disc is a dated account of recruitment of black troops in the early part of WW1. The flip side is the ever popular Whistling Coon - I believe Murray is part of the chorus. Third disc is Army bugle calls, including reveille, taps and a long litany of cavalry commands, already obsolete by WW1.The bugle is amazingly clear on the disc. I will pack carefully & well
