Description: Offering two beautifully hand embossed silver trinket containers or urns, made in Rajasthan, India in the mid 20th century or earlier. These silver bowls are covered with ornate repoussé of swirled foliage motifs on the sides. Shaped as tabla drums, a percussion instrument used in Hindustani classical music and traditional music of India or Pakistan, the bowls feature similar side thin ropes/braces like the drums, and top ring and base rings made with thicker twisted silver ropes. The bowls are not marked so the silver content/purity is unknown (silver alloy).Each measure about "2.5-3" tall.
