Well Drawn This is a nice selection of EASTER Holiday postcards with interesting themes, and that are ANTIQUE from the early 1900s. This mixture shows PRETTY LADIES, as well as a nice young couple. The postcards are very nicely drawn in the PEN & INK STYLE, and two of them are in color. The postcards are flat printed. They are attractive postcards with good detail, which makes them pleasing to look at. They were made by different publishers. One is a foreign postcard. Another value of this lot is that two of these have UNDIVIDED backs. Postcards with UNDIVIDED BACKS were used from 1901-1907. An undivided back is a good indicator of the age of the postcard and its historical significance. During this time period, ONLY THE ADDRESS could be put on the back, and any written message had to be done on the front of the postcard. These type of postcards are collector items because of their age, and because of the limited number of such postcards in existence today. Also, collectors like to own postcards that were published in the beginning years of the postcard hobby. These are good postcards to add to a collection. They are nicely made, and will appeal to collectors because of their age, their colorful and attractive nature, and the way they capture life back in the early 1900s. Overall, a nice selection of antique Easter postcards at a reasonable price. The postcards are POSTED with cancel dates of 1903, 1905, and 1918. This last one is actually much older, it was just mailed at a later time. These postcards would have been "Printed in Germany". These are BETTER POSTCARDS and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. Please note that the one with the three ladies sitting on a large egg has a stain streak on the right side. Regarding condition, please note that we try to remove damaged postcards from our lots, and only sell those postcards that are worth having in a collection. However, because of their age, please expect some creases, cuts, stains, and edge wear on the postcards. We do not want you to be disappointed. USA shipping is with tracking, and we use eBay Standard Envelope mail when the value is under $20 and the weight is under 3 oz; and, we use USPS First Class mail when the value is over $20 or the weight is over 3 oz.
