Description: The listing is for 3 antique silver plate / silver soldered chafing dishes, from the stove to the table service. The 3 are marked Hotel Van Curler, Silver Soldered. The hotel was named after Arent Van Curler who founded Schenectady NY in 1662. The hotel, built in 1925 as a civic pride movement, on one of the arms of the Mohawk River. The hotel is historically important as the first of five major Neoclassical public building erected between 1925-1933. In 1969 the hotel was renamed to Elston Hall. All 3 pans are marked 0500 71/5 though they are different sizes and have wooden handles made to be unscrewed from the serving dish. Condition: The three dishes are all in good condition as shown in the pictures. The largest of the 3 has scratches on the inside and all 3 have minor in-perfections as shown. No monograms, or repairs. Size: The 3 dishes measure 9 1/8 inches across the rims. Two of the dishes measure 1.75 inches tall and the third measures 2 7/8 inches. The handles measure 4.75 inches long. Shipping: We will ship the chafing dishes by USPS Advantage or Fed Ex at our discretion. We gladly combine shipping whenever possible.
