We rate these older cards in this condition as they have been in our warehouse for a long time. We opened the packs to get these cards back in the release date days. They have been in storage in our warehouse this entire time. The card may have received minor surface scratches or wear from just from being touched and moved around as we pulled cards from the series to fill other orders over the years. The cards have never been played and we do not buy used cards from other dealers so the card was new when we put the card into our inventory, however it has been handled several times over the years so there should be some wear expected on the card. If a "Gem Mint" card is what you are desiring, this is not the listing for you. The image displayed is a stock image and not the actual card you will receive.
