This was the seventh consecutive year that cartoonist Eldon Dedini, of Esquire, New Yorker, and Playboy note, created the artwork for the Concours poster. This poster, all in a rich purple and black, includes three stylized automobilesan antique touring car with a dog's head poking out of the back seat, a vintage two seater, and the grille of another vintage car. The piece gives a nod to the style of French photographer Jacques Lartique. Dedini's signature is printed to the right of the main image. Printed using high-quality reproduction techniques for the Robert Devlin book, Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance: The Art of the Poster, in 2003.
