Description: This is a group of 21 rare 3 by 4 inch vintage 1917/1918 circa lantern slides. For being over 100 years old, they are in wonderful condition. These are believed to have been used probably in an old time theater or possibly classroom. These were news blasts, maybe used in-between or before silent movies. During the start of WWI America was neutral and news people were allowed to take photos from behind both enemy lines. At the bottom of most all of the images is advertised “Shown Through Courtesy of First National Bank”. The border reads “American Press Association, 225 West 39th St. New York City.” See the example images. This item will be packed well and shipped Ground Mail in the U.S. at a cost to the high bidder of $19.95. I am a long time ebayer, check my record. I describe my listings as well as I can. I will mail soon after receipt of payment. Thank you for checking out this item. The background is actually white.
