Dark Vibrant Moorei (leucophylla Red Neck x flava atropurpurea, Clone F) [Danny Powell] A very tall moorei. Starts out with reds and creams and then darkens up to dark red like a strawberry. I sometimes call this my “strawberry moorei”. Spring growth gets very dark. Fall growth is very vibrant. Very vigorous and tall. Has a strong crop of both spring and fall pitchers. Father (pollen) plant: S. ‘Black Widow’ A very popular cultivar. This is a tall and showy plant that sticks out among other plants. The pitchers start with sharp color contrast and mature to an extremely dark saturation, especially in late summer. It also produces a strong pitcher crop through the growing season. 1st picture shows the two parent plants. 2nd picture shows the mother (pod) parent. 3rd picture shows the father (pollen) parent. 4th picture shows an example of the seeds you will get (not the quantity). 5th picture shows an example of how I bag my Sarracenia flowers in the spring. This cross was made in the Spring of 2024 and the seeds were harvested when ripe later in the same year. The cross was done carefully by hand. All manual crosses had bagged flowers to avoid any unwanted pollen contamination by nature. After harvest and drying, the seeds have been stored dry in the fridge to maximize longevity and viability. These seeds have NOT been stratified. You will need to do that yourself.
