Description: 2024 SARRACENIA SEEDS: (ALUCARD X DOREEN’S COLOSSUS) X BOG WITCH [CARNIVOROUS PLANT SEED] Code: 304: 24HH01 This listing includes: One pack of approximately 30 Sarracenia seeds from the following cross: Mother (pod) plant: S. (Alucard x Doreen’s Colossus) A vivid, spicy red plant. Tall with a great, eye-catching shape and some huge lids. The pictures do the talking! Vigorous and a very strong spring growth. Father (pollen) plant: S. Bog Witch A creation by Dr. Larry Mellichamp of unknown parentage. Neon green/yellow pitchers with amazing contrasting venation that have an embossed effect on the surface of the pitcher tube. The top half or so of the tubes are bulbous giving them an attractive shape. Always eye catching in my garden and one of my favorite Sarracenia. 1st picture shows the two parent plants. 2nd picture shows the mother (pod) parent. 3rd picture shows the father (pollen) parent. 4th picture shows an example of the seeds you will get (not the quantity). 5th picture shows an example of how I bag my Sarracenia flowers in the spring. This cross was made in the Spring of 2024 and the seeds were harvested when ripe later in the same year. The cross was done carefully by hand. All manual crosses had bagged flowers to avoid any unwanted pollen contamination by nature. After harvest and drying, the seeds have been stored dry in the fridge to maximize longevity and viability. These seeds have NOT been stratified. You will need to do that yourself. I have been growing Sarracenia for 15 years and my goal is to make quality seeds and plants affordable to anyone that is interested in growing these amazing plants.
