Description: The clothespins in this pack are made by hand in the USA to last. Comprised of hardwood ash lumber and stainless steel springs, these clothespins will not come apart easily as many other brands of pins are prone to do today, but will hold your clothes on the line, even in windy weather.Besides using these clothespins for holding clothes on the line, they can also be used as kitchen clips, decor, crafts...there are hundreds of ways to use these handcrafted clothespins. Let your imagination guide you.Heritage Clothespin FeaturesHardwood Ash: Valued for its high strength and resilience, the ash tree is genus of flowering plants in the olive and lilac family. Because ash is low in naturally occurring tannins (a compound in lumber that can stain cloth), this set of clothespins is ideal for use on laundry.Stainless Steel Springs: The springs on these pins are made with 13 gauge stainless steel wire. They are full-coiled, meaning there is no gap between the wire in the coil. This helps to both keep your clothes on the line and reduce the chance that the pin will come apart.Finish: A tumbling process is used that gives each clothespin a smooth feel with softened edges. Boiled linseed oil is applied to provide some protection. (Note, Some people find the smell of boiled linseed oil a turn off - the smell will diminish over time)Grip Grooves: Three grip grooves are strategically placed to help keep the pins between your fingers during use.Made in the USAHeritage Clothespins, a home-based, family run company, was started in an effort to fill the void of quality clothespins available to consumers in the USA. For much of clothespin history, the US has had a supply of quality clothespin makers, but like many industries, it became more cost effective to move production to other countries. This has left us with clothespins that are cheap in cost, but results in a product of poor quality made from inferior materials that fall apart quickly. The ash hardwood we use is from the Southern USA or lower Appalachian including Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee. The Ash trees from this area has a finer texture and machinability than it’s Northern counterpart and tends to have a more uniform white color with less of the brown heartwood. The full coiled stainless steel springs are sourced from a spring manufacturer in the Northeast USA. All the woodworking and assembly is done in Texas by Heritage Clothespins; a small family run business.QualityHeritage Clothespins are made with the best materials available and combined with a solid design, we believe our clothespins are among the best around and will last a lifetime. To end up with the best clothespins, each piece is inspected multiple times throughout the process to ensure any parts with defects are eliminated; resulting in high quality clothespins.
