Description: This is a set of 2 unused Cavalier Ruby Red stemmed wine glasses made in the 1970’s by J. G. Durand (Luminarc) of Verrerie Cristallerie dArques in France. Neither have chips or cracks. These glasses have barrel shaped ruby red bodies with clear glass stems and bases. Having the plain round stems and bases show they were from an earlier production. The base has a molded “FRANCE” in tiny capital letters on the bottom, as shown in photo. Each measures about 4” high. The bowl part itself measures about 2 1/4” in diameter and is about 2 7/8” deep. Sometimes these are called Luminarc Arcoroc dinnerware. The ruby red color is stunning and people love to use them, especially on holidays. These would add a pop of color to any bar ware display.I had these displayed for many years in a china cabinet with some older red banded and flowered dinnerware. So beautiful!I always pack glassware carefully before shipping.
