And some uninformed buyers have paid up to $70 for these false first editions. If you want the actual collectible version of this title, here is a nice item to consider. An informed buyer will know this is true first because of the following factors: The jacket has a printed price of $13.95 at the top for the front fold-in, see photo. It has the full number line 2 to 10 which is correct for the publisher and year of publication. Unlike most publishers, whose number line will runs from 1 to 10 for a 1st, then 2 to 10 for a second, Random House 1st Printings for decades had number lines 2 to 10, based on the logic that since the 1st Printing run had taken place, the number "1" should be left of the number line to indicate this. And when a second printing run was done, the number line would show "3 to 10", because the 2nd printing had occurred.
