Description: An original 1896 first edition copy of "Samuel Morris (Prince Kabo)" by Rev. T.C. Reade. About 5" x 7", 23 pages, softcover. Published in 1896 by Taylor University. Good condition as shown with cover soiling and an old handwritten name. The pages are free of tears, folds or other damage. Morris was born in Liberia, escaped captivity to Monrovia, accepted Christ, with faith alone somehow traveled to the US, and ended up at Tayor University, where President Reade once said, “Samuel Morris was a divinely sent messenger of God to Taylor University. He thought he was coming over here to prepare himself for his mission to his people, but his coming was to prepare Taylor University for her mission to the whole world. All who met him were impressed with his sublime, yet simple faith in God.” Of course, he died young. A wonderful piece of history and an awesome addition to any collection.
