Description: A fine form country two part Sheraton desk, the upper case with an archetypal top surmounting three open book shelves, a row of cubbies, and four fitted drawers, over a lower writing table with three fitted frieze drawers, all supported by four nicely turned tapered legs. The desk dates to the 19th century and is in very good overall condition with its original finish, including some surface alligatoring near the crest, some minor stains on the writing surface, other edge losses, and wear commensurate with age and use.
