Description: Listed American Artist Amy Ernst Signed and Dated, on reverse, this Intriguing and Surreal Image of a Woman (Women?). It is an Original Mixed Media on Canvas. Mixed media consists of "collage/oil/wax" as per the artist on the reverse of the canvas. An old, almost sepia colored image of a solemn, round faced woman (on a reflective film, like a negative) is juxtaposed with a semi nude, medieval looking angel?, climbing into her head while her feet dangle out in front of her face. One of the legs bends outward (firmly connected) giving a 3D aspect to the piece. Similarly, part of the '<' shape at left, spans the film but is separate from it - Fascinating. It is aptly Titled, on reverse, "Visions From Within" and is Dated, 1995. 2" Wide, Gold Reverse moulding with decorated corner carving is included in this listing.
