1989 USA GUILD PILOT 5-STRING DLX SB605 BIRDSEYE MAPLE CHERRY BURST EMG J/J RARE

Description: BLACK FRIDAY SALE &FREE USA SHIPPING! Here's another beauty from the Westerly, RI plant. What sets this one apart is that it's a Deluxe model with a solid bookmatched birdseye maple body finished in cherry sunburst. It also has the EMG Jazz pickups with a 2-band EMG 9-volt preamp. It has the transition headstock which is more angular than the 'gumby' headstock but still a traditional design with 4 & 1 black Schaller tuners. More importantly, it has a clean maple neck with 22-fret rosewood fretboard and very, very little fret wear. All the hardware is black including the Schaller roller bridge. It's a 34" scale with the string width set at 18mm at the bridge. That's about as wide as it gets but the Schaller roller bridge allows you to take it all the way down to 16mm if you desire. Width at the nut is just over 1 7/8". The birdseye maple is much more attractive in-person because the pics just don't capture the depth of the finish as it enhances the figure in the maple. The bass is very comfortable to wear and weighs in at 10 lbs which is not bad considering it's solid maple! Includes a well-worn tweed hardshell case.
