Description: This 1986 D Washington Quarter is a rare find for collectors! It features a die break error that sets it apart from other quarters. The coin has been circulated but still maintains its original striking quality. The quarter was minted in Philadelphia and has not been certified. It is a great addition to any coin collection, especially for those interested in US coins with errors. Don't miss out on the chance to own this unique piece of history! “This coin is missing I that belongs to the inscription in God we trust. It has very distinguished raised tops to the letters on the front side liberty, backside United States of America and backside quarter dollar inscription. From there these letters dip down then and between “state of.” They are nearly invisible, just like the I. Also has a thicker rim on the right both on the front and back. Two distinguished areas in the rim that could be the explanation for why the coin looks this way. At around the 9 o’clock position on the reverse you can see where the break in the die happened and caused the letter I to be missing. On the reverse side at 11 o’clock position it seems as if there is another indicator that could contributed to the littering in the moto. They could be possibly a double strike situation here. By the raised tariffs in the inscription booking similar to a DDO and DDR on each side. As well as some lines in the letter. As well as the mint mark P Philadelphia.”
