Her clothes are sold in about 120 stores. By the end of Boker's second year in business, the Alke Boker label will have generated about $2 million in wholesale business. "We're just covering our overhead," says Boker, who opened her company in April 1983. Her New York showroom is in a modest building on Seventh Avenue, "between McDonald's and Halston."
