Concrete work is being done on Cleary Ave. from W. Esplanade Ave. to 3rd Street in Metairie. The street was a shell road, and was blocked off at the corner of W. Esplanade until early September when the work began. Boh Bros. is doing the concrete work. The property owners on the street are paying for the street. (Front foot assessment.) By the end of January the street should be open to traffic. The new street has a two foot sand base, with seven inches of concrete on top. Photo measures 10 x 8 inches. Photo is dated 12-10-1984.
