Description: Up for sale is a 1978 carburetor for the 403 Oldsmobile equipped cars - Trans Am, Firebird, Formula, or Esprit. This is also known as the 6.6 Liter engine. This is correct for a TRANS AM OR FIREBIRD. It was pulled from a 1978 Trans Am. It is the same for 1977-1979. This one has the code 17058253 decoding it as a 1978 or 1979 - 403 Olds. It will work for 70-81 with an Olds 403 engine installed or any other vehicle with a 403 Oldsmobile engine for that matter. It will also work on an Old 350 too. It is USED but very nice original shape. Will need to be rebuilt if perfection is desired, but may also work just fine as is. The numbers on this carb are: 17058253 Date 0478 BBC Will work on other GM engines too. This carb is being sold as is , for parts or rebuilder. I recommend a rebuild on all carbs before using if perfection is desired. There may be missing parts that I am not aware of, see pictures and determine for yourself.
