Description: VINTAGE 1978~ BTS ~ **~ SOLID BRASS & AGATE / JASPER STONE ~**~* SMALL BELT BUCKLE *~Made in USA_______________________________ SIZE: This belt buckle is a bit on the smaller size and measures: 1 & 5/8" in height; 2 & 1/4" in width ~ For a better idea on the size, I have also shown it next to a dime in one of the pictures, as well. DESCRIPTION: This auction features a vintage BTS belt buckle. It is sold brass and bears what I believe to be either a agate or jasper stone on the front. This is an oval inset in the rectangular shape of the buckle itself. It is a bit on the smaller side and may have originally been intended for a woman or a child. The back is marked as follows: "c.1978 BTS, Solid Brass, BTS, Made in USA." It really does have a very classic look to it. If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact me, and I will be happy to help. CONDITION: FAIR ~ I am considering the age and use of this item when factoring the condition rating. This belt buckle appears to be in Fair condition for the age and use. As would be expected with something of this age, there is some minor usage wear seen -- mostly in the form of minor surface scratches. These are mostly localized to the back, though. There is some minor soiling and wear seen to the brass metal, as well. I suspect most of this is likely age / storage wear, and may be polished quite well. I suspect the same likely goes for the jasper or agate stone, as well. I will leave any cleaning or polishing to the new owner, though. Other than what is mentioned above, I do not see any other major issues with this piece.
