Description: DESCRIPTION OEM 1975-76 Pontiac Trans Am Pontiac W72 400/455 Shaker Air Cleaner. The assembly has media blasted and refinished in semi-gloss black to present a period correct image. The base features the oval snorkel in good condition with the correct 6" opening, new vacuum lines, and a correct height new heavy duty air filter. All factory emissions components to include an original ATS with correct clip, ported vacuum sensor, and EVE valve are included as well. The exterior features a reproduction GM Air Cleaner Service Decal (PU=76). The base features the correct deep drop required for proper shaker hood clearance, as well as the angled flange that parallels the base level with the sloped hood line. The original shaker lid is in good condition too. To complete the package, a period correct wing nut and a new filter breather replete with rubber adapter are included. APPLICATIONS This assembly is correct for the following 1975-76 models: Pontiac Trans Am with 400 / 455 Pontiac engine It will also fit 73-74 400/455s - these were not equipped with the ported vacuum sensor or EVE valve. 77 W-72 cars used the round 4" air cleaner78-79 W-72 feature a different breather filter location, requiring the use of the earlier style for this to fit/function.Note that this air cleaner is specific to 75-76 in that it features the triangulare EVE fitting in the base (the 75 assemblies did not). It will work on all 73-76, but may not be technically correct by year. Note: this will NOT fit the L80 Olds 403 or 301 Pontiac or 305/350 Chevy engines due to the offset of the shaker scoop, as well as the difference in carburetor flange drop. FITMENT The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange, as well as some Holley, Carter/Edelbrock variations without an electric choke (the alignment tangs have been altered).
