Pittsburgh radio & television station KDKA-issued card of #7 LARRY SHEPARD ~ Pittsburgh Pirates ~ 1968 regional card issue ~ In 1968 Pittsburgh radio/tv station KDKA issued this card as part of a 23-card set. Hobby legend Frank Nagy once had stacks of KDKA cards which he distributed within the hobby decades ago but with the passage of time, they are becoming increasingly difficult to find. This card measures approximately 2-3/8" by 4", is numbered (presumably by uniform number) and features a full-color photo with KDKA on the front. The reverse encourages the owner to collect the entire series and listen to (or watch) Pirates baseball on KDKA Radio 1020 (or KDKA-TV2). A great item for one's Type card collection.
