Smiths 1966 Triumph 'Greyface' 120 mile per hour speedometer and matching Smiths 'Greyface' 10,000 rpm tachometer. This set of gauges are also correct for 1966-1969 Triumph T100 Twins (500cc) if a tachometer is required for your bike. If you only need a speedo look at our eBay store (under sellers other items’) for just the speedometer we currently have for sale. Bottom faces of these Triumph Smith's gauges are CORRECTLY marked RSM 3003/01 on the tachometer and SSM 5001/00 on the speedometer. The speedometer only has .5 tenths of a single mile on it which was 'run in' distance only when it was on a calibration stand. The tachometer is, of course, marked as a 4 to 1 unit. The internal parts of these gauges have been removed, completely renovated and calibrated to meet the specifications of newly remanufactured gauges. The rebuild of these Smiths gauges included the following: The cans (cases) were professionally powdercoated to Concours quality standards. The cans do not have a single ding, dent or damage. Then the insides of the cans were painted with white epoxy paint (the only paint that will not peel, turn to dust) for many, many years. Then the blue, light enhancing, paint was sprayed on the one section of the inside the EXACT same way and in exactly the same shade as Smiths did it when they were built. This gives a softer shine to the light rather than just harsh white light. The center aluminum buttons were polished and the correct shade of flourescent red was added to the needles. Then NEW bezels, glass, upper and lower rubber glass sealing seals, new stainless steel chassis screws (will never rust or tarnish), the internal and external shock absorbing rubber biscuit mounts and the stainless steel nuts and washers (for the mounting of these to the stock Triumph bracket) were added. Comes with an original 'TRIP SHAFT' warning decal attached as shown. This is NOT the cheap decal being currently sold on Ebay and elsewhere that are simply replacements with lettering that smears and rubs off the first time you wipe down your gauges with a cloth.
