Description: This week I'm offering a variety of cards from non-sport sets of the Fifties and Sixties. In 1965, Philadelphia Gum issued a set made up of black and white photos depicting the history of the Second World War. The card backs included a narrative of the key battle or event shown on the front. The box and wrappers holding the cards were labled "World War II," but the set is known by the title listed on the card backs - "War Bulletin." The set remains very popuular with collectors. Here I have card #40, "Leapfrog Landing." It's in very nice condition with a light corner crease and a bit of corner wear (see scans for condition). Not bad for a card that's over fifty years old!
