Humpty Dumpty coins were printed in French and English, instead of just English. The coins can also be found without sponsor names. There are no price differences between the variations. Eight of the nine CFL teams are represented. The coins measure approximately 1 3/8" in diameter. In 1963, the Canadian Football League contracted to have plastic player coins inserted in brand name potato chip bags including those produced by Nalley's, Hunter's, Krun-Chee, and Humpty Dumpty (printed in French and English. In total, there were eight teams represented with 20 coins per team: Toronto Argonauts (1-20), Ottawa Roughriders (21-40), Hamilton Tiger Cats (41-60), Montreal Alouettes (61-80), Winnipeg Blue Bomber (81-100), Edmonton Eskimos (101-120), Calgary Stampeders (121-140), and British Columbia Lions (141-160). While the first 10 coins of each consecutively numbered team were relatively available, the final 10 coins were much more difficult to find. This short printing of half the set (80 coins), coupled with the fact that not every coin was available with each potato chip brand, make this the most challenging CFL set to complete from the 1960s. The back of the coin is hard plastic, but also see-through. Most coins have an unusual cloudy look on the back caused by the adhesive used to adhere the paper picture to the plastic coin. Collectors were offered a team display holder via mail-in promotion. The holder allowed collectors to display their favorite team players on the walls of their home. The set includes 34 Hall of Fame members composing almost 20% of the total number of players enshrined in the CFL Hall of Fame.
