Description: Levi’s original vintage big E jeans. Made in USA sometime in the very late 60s through 1971. I can’t tell what style these are for certain. My guess is either 517 or 646. They appear to have been hemmed (using single stitch) so given that I don’t know what the original inseam length is I can’t tell how much they were brought up and therefore what the original leg opening might’ve been. My best guess is that they were a 646 that was shortened and therefore lost some of their flare leaving them currently fitting most like a 517 bootcut. Factory code #G. Big “E” orange tab. Relatively thin 100% cotton denim in nice dark wash. Mid/classic rise. Nice altered pre-owned condition. Inseam appears to have been shortened. Tons of dark indigo color remains. Only flaws to mention are a spot of wear fraying on the right knee (repaired with a denim press patch inside) and a faint yellow stain on the back of the left leg around the mid thigh outseam. Might launder out but I don’t want to wash and lose the dark coloring. Please see all photos and don’t hesitate to ask any questions as all sales are final. No size tag present. Based on 11.5-inch front rise (about an inch to inch and a half higher than a modern mid-rise jean) I think they’ll fit most like between a “size 30 and 31,” but please refer to measurements below and match up with a pair you already own. Measurements: Waist (doubled) - 29.5” Inseam - 29” Leg opening - 9.5” Front rise - 11.5” Thigh (base of crotch to outer edge) - 12.25” Hips (measured across in line with base of zipper) - 20.25”
