Description: C. Scott-Douglas Inc. signed an exclusive image use contract with 12 members of the Milwaukee Braves and subsequently sued these dozen baseball players as well as companies such as Spic and Span as well as Johnston Cookies for infringement. The lawsuit was unsuccessful and likely cost C. Scott-Douglas Inc. quite heavily as they sub-licensed the images to Preferred Products Corp which was located on 819 East Burleigh Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In addition to a mint emblem of Eddie Mathews, there is the extremely rare original information insert card which explains the product. This felt patch is officially titled a “Big League Autograph Emblem” according to this information card which is included. They were meant “For Sweaters – Jackets – Shirts –Blouses” which may explain why very few exist today. The Cellophane package is an open envelope style package.
