This particular volume being the former personal copy of Sir Roy Strong, with his bookplate to front pastedown. He was an art historian, museum curator, writer, broadcaster, and landscape designer. Particularly, he was the director of the National Gallery in London as well as the Victoria and Albert Museum. With unclipped dustwrapper. CONDITION In the original publisher's cloth binding, with titles stamped in gilt to spine. Externally attractive, with minor shelfwear and only slight bumping to head and tail of spine. Dr. Roy Strong's bookplate to front pastedown. Dustwrapper is unclipped and very smart, with slight edge wear and chipping to extremities. Slight sunning to spine of wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Illustrated.
