He is likely to say whatever comes to mind, though it frequently turns out to be pre- cisely the wrong thing. He'll show up at your party wearing a plaid shirt and jeans and never have the slight- est inkling that he doesn't look just as natty as everyone else. He will describe you as terrific if he likes you and he will like you if you make yourself at home without standing on ceremony. Chances are, he'll like you anyway, just for the hell of it.
