1951 Men's Bulova 8AD "Wilshire" Manual Wind

Description: 1951 Men's Bulova 8AD Manual Wind Watch This is a beautiful men's Bulova manual wind watch, manufactured in 1951 (the L1 stamped on the movement and on the case back indicates the year of manufacture). I found similar watches on the mybulova website, which indicate that the model of this watch is the "Wilshire". The 17 jewel 8AD caliber movement has been cleaned and oiled, and the watch is keeping accurate time. The beautiful 10k R.G.P. (Rolled Gold Plate) case with the fancy horn lugs has been cleaned and polished, and shows only a few surface scratches, and the slightest bit of gold loss on the tops of the ball shapes in the middle of the lugs, but no where else. There is some defects on the bottom of the case back - it looks like someone took a Dremel to it (see pictures), but these defects can not be seen when the watch is being worn. The dial on this watch is in decent shape for its age - there is some spotting and wear in the upper left section, and just minor spotting elsewhere. A brand new acrylic crystal has been installed. A brand new brown leather strap has been installed. Overall, the watch is in very good condition and ready to wear!
